Correctional RN
- NSW Casual Award rates apply + an 8.3 % NSW Health contract finalisation payment on completion of your placement
- Immediate start available for a 12-week full time contract
- Previous nursing experience in Community Health is required
- Current ALS or BLS certification acceptable
- Demonstrated competency in IV Cannulation and Pathology Collection
- Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration and valid Australian working rights

Role Overview:
Morning Shift – Fast-Paced & Clinically Varied
- Responding to emergency call outs
- Men’s health and chronic disease management
- Pathology collection
- Wound care and follow-up
Afternoon Shift – Medication & Medical Response Focus
- High volume medication packing and administration
- Responding to medical call outs as required
Night Shift – Steady & Safety Focused
- Two nurses rostered together within the clinic environment
- Medical call outs within the centre
- Overnight reviews and patient assessments as needed
This is a dynamic clinical position offering a mix of emergency response, primary health, and ongoing patient care within a secure correctional health environment. You’ll be caring for patients within correctional health facilities, with full supervision from Corrections staff for all security?related aspects.
Located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, this major correctional health precinct accommodates approximately 1,200 inmates across maximum and minimum-security units, including medical, mental health, and remand patients. Situated around 14 km from the Sydney CBD, the area offers coastal surroundings, nearby beaches, convenient public transport, vibrant cafés, shopping precincts, and easy access to both the city and airport.
