Remote Central Australia in the Northern Territory is a vast, sparsely populated desert region with isolated communities and a major tourism area. Local communities have access to basic essential services such as healthcare, education, housing, and supplies, often supported by visiting outreach services due to remoteness.

The region also includes a well-known national park destination offering visitor facilities, accommodation, walking trails, and ranger support for travellers.
