Bowen Hospital provides general medicine services, 24 hour emergency care, oncology and palliative care. Several allied health services are offered at the hospital in addition to clinics and visiting specialist services such as mental health, paediatrics, respiratory, orthopaedic, endocrinology, women's health, fracture and antenatal/postnatal services. Community health services are provided from the hospital
